Julius Koonce, Executive Director

Executive Director of Christians in the Marketplace (CIMP) since 2008, Dr. Julius Koonce has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years. In addition to serving as Executive Director of CIMP, he serves as pastor of Christ Transformation Center in Salisbury, NC.
Through CIMP, he provides chaplaincy services for small businesses, chaplaincy training, and Monday morning internet-based devotions and prayer to the business community. His chaplaincy service provides morale, team building, and spiritual support to companies that desire to have God as part of the team.
Julius is the organizer for the MLK Dream Park and Center in Salisbury, NC. Appointed to the City of Greensboro Planning Board, he was also selected for the Business Leaders “Movers & Shakers” Award in 2010.
In 2021, he received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Ministry. Julius previously served with a local IT company as an operational and customer service manager.
Julius is passionate about transforming the marketplace through marketplace disciples who see their businesses and workplaces as their ministries. He believes that the new mission field is the marketplace. Julius has been married to Tammy Koonce for over 30 years, and they have a 23-year-old son named Ephraim.
